The IOPtimate™, is a surgical system for treating Glaucoma, which utilizes a CO2 laser technology in order to significantly reduce internal eye pressure (“IOP”), by restoring the natural fluid percolation without penetrating the eye.
By utilizing the particular properties of the CO2 laser, IOPtima developed the CLASS (CO2 Laser-Assisted Sclerectomy Surgery) procedure. During the procedure, the IOPtimate thins the sclera wall via ablating surges at the normal eye drainage area (Schlemm’s Canal region). This is done in a simple, highly controlled targeted manner.

By using the iLid™ CO2 laser kit rather than a manual surgical scalpel, surgeons are able to employ the CO2 laser beam, in adjustable levels of penetration, to incise the upper and lower eyelids and remove excess fat. The CO2 laser beam also carefully vaporizes (peels) the top layer of the skin, restoring its surface and finely smoothing the lid.
LIPITEARTM is a preservative free, unidose ophthalmic microemulsion that works to restore the proper microenvironment of the ocular surface. Additionally, LIPITEARTM enhance the physiological process of corneal re-epithelization following ocular surgery and reduce pain/burning sensation, blurred vision, foreign body sensation, photophobia and lacrimation.
LIPITEARTM is indicated for use after an ocular surgery, traumatic and spontaneous corneal erosions and to relieve dry eye syndrome symptoms.
