Eyelid Surgery
The eyelids can present pathologies that are responsible for functional disorders or malformations which require surgical treatment by oculoplastic surgeons and ophthalmologists.
Blepharoplasty is one of the surgical procedures for correcting defects, deformities, and disfigurations of the upper or lower eyelids and for aesthetically improving the eye region of the face.

Method
When blepharoplasty is done using a laser and the iLid™ kit rather than a manual surgical scalpel, surgeons gain greater control over the penetration levels of their incisions in the upper and lower eyelids and during the removal of excess fat.
The laser beam also carefully vaporizes (peels) the top layer of the skin, restoring its surface and finely smoothing the lid.
Laser-assisted blepharoplasty is used to treat:
• Loose or sagging skin that creates folds or disturbs the natural contour of the upper eyelid, sometimes impairing vision
• Excess fatty deposits that appear as puffiness in the eyelids
• Periorbital puffiness (Under-eye bags)
• Drooping lower eyelids that reveal the sclera below the iris
• Excess skin and fine wrinkles of the lower eyelid
